I mean throughout the entire show Light remains calm and right at the end he has their names and looses is mind therefor getting himself killed when the normal light would have written their names subtly and would have won. But of course whoever was producing the show decided that it would be politically incorrect to air a show where the "bad guy" wins. at least these are my thoughts, i want to hear yours on the topic.

Whoever was producing the show didn't have a say in it... that's how the Authors chose to end it. Besides, I think that's how Light would act. He had a brilliant plan, and neither he or Mikami messed up... but Near beat it every single step of the way.

what do you mean thats what light would d.. light was always there when his victims died t give a last laugh ray penbar Naomi L. are good examples man.. he was doing what he always did thinking that o i got em... but this time.. the death note was fake.. Light died due to the fact he thought he was indestructable and it wasn't rushed.. what did you want ? millions of fillers

The show ended the right way i don't think it was rushed. Its that Light was acting like he wouldn't lose and the authors probably thought that since Light thought he was invincible and didn't believe anyone could stop him, he was gonna lose.
Yes my logic is weird and you might not understand it but thats how it is.

See the originally planned ending with Light going crazy on L's grave. IT cuts off all the N crap.

Well Chib to the comment you made up there im gonna have to say Mikami had messed up when he wrote Takada's name in the book AFTER Light did I also figured when he was brought into the warehouse and yelled "GOD IM SORRY!" Light was done you could tell with the major foreshadowing.
