We'll have about 130 users on later into the day, each downloading 51mb rsc files. You won't see near-or-sight of lag; it's a professional paid server.

I host 24/7 there and serve on Admin & Tournament Mod/manager staff, or what have you.

Is there any reason you'd like to host?

Other than my attempt to rid the epidemic that is bad hosts/servers from BYOND? No. I could really give two shits about most, if any incentive I can obtain from hosting your game (and I'm not aware of any at the moment).

I host because I want to give players an opportunity to experience a game that may have potential.

I'll forewarn, you, however: I don't tolerate abusive Admin/Mods that walk around with the mentality that players should have to kiss their boots or get banned. I'm solid for player equality, and I believe players have every right to call out an abusive tightwad for their incompetence (not implying you've hired people that can't fit their role, but you get my point); I only host for games that can maintain an environmental integrity.

I don't quite see any flaws in your application, and it's refreshing for someone to say it how it is and not over-dramatize their views, including those of staff behavior and the likes.

All I recommend is at least making sure you're hosting a decent game, and the next time DNO is up do a personal evaluation & make sure it's something you'd want to host, because as you said, you haven't playd much.

If I intend to stick around for a bit - and possibly even host - I'm going to be blunt. I have no interest in acting out some fake persona to get what I desire, as ultimately it would degrade my experience with the game more so than anyone else's.

This would likely be best for both you and I. No need to rush into the situation and ending up committing to something I no longer find interest in. Even if the deal is struck, I suppose it's always good for a host to be familiarized with the game so they can offer insight on game controls and the like.

I'll be waiting for the game to be hosted.

Edit: Got a chance to play the game today. The game definitely displays potential. I guess I could at least try out with hosting.

I'm not very strict, but I'll forewarn you: I don't take kindly to trolls. In fact, a lot of the rules you see there are the result of people not appreciating the game, bandwagoning up, and making other players' stay unpleasant. It's a sort of contradiction to their actions that I seen fit to enforce. I believe if someone doesn't appreciate being able to play the game, no regard should be held for their ability to do so.

Hm; alrighty. I'm glad to hear things are working out then. You're free to make a topic for your server rules and the likes, I'll just quickly talk it over with my staff, and if all is well I'll add your name to the hub to be able to download files. Proper verbs will obviously be included, such as being able to give roles, general moderation, and appoint your own "Helpers".
